At 8:00am, on Dec 13 2009, Vietnamese American Vocational Training College (VATC) – Vietnamese American Training Center organized a Cambridge Award and on-site International Program Graduation Ceremony for 210 students of the Young Learners, at the same time, VATC also awarded merit gifts for excellent students of this English program.

 

 

 

With the course-outline designed for a 03 year program, students spend the first year studying English, and in the remaining years, students of the “on-site international” program are equipped with knowledge about Information Technology and upper English training so that they meet all the requirements of those state and foreign-owned companies. Besides the designed subjects, students are expected to pass other subjects in Cambridge ICT Diploma (ICT – Information and Communications Technology) and the TOIEC 700 up or TOEFL 500 up.

 

 

Graduates received a Graduation Certificate of the “on-site international” program granted by VATC, as well as the subject completion certificate granted by Cambridge, and Cambridge Diploma at Intermediate level (in Media and Information Technology faculty) and TOEIC 700 or TOEFL 500.

 

VATC has trained 171 students in the “on-site international” program. Most of these students got good jobs with high salary thanks to their knowledge about Information Technology, management skills and ability in English usage, all obtained at VATC.

 

Cambridge English for Young Learners program at VATC included 03 levels: Starters, Movers and Flyers for children from 6 – 11 years old. This English program is designed as the foundation to help students develop their ability to learn English from a very young age, including all four skills of: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Through practicing: story telling, playing a role or signing in English or going on off-site trip with foreign Teachers, students at VATC are provided the confidence to communicate in English fluently with their friends or Teachers right from a very young age.
